Read the story if you get a chance, owner was trying to avoid a dog, and tapped median and car split in half, not very reassuring.[/img]

Ya the trees... the though in the above posts, the wheel cracked and no other object/vehicle is around to slice the car into two pieces. If could guess, a truck hit the car and took off, or the car just fell apart.

I don't think it's that bad? Considering the car hit a pole or concrete barrier at highway speeds. The front passengers probably walked away with minor injuries.

I just don't think car was meant to split apart. Strangely, this was taken from another forum who said they'd never drive a Honda b/c of this. I think the car splitting is somewhat unusual. The front right occupant has blood splattered on inside of windshield if what makes any sense.

Definitely not hating, and appreciate you going through all the trouble to post links to another thread.

In terms of ordinary cars, I feel safer in a Toyota or Honda than I do in a domestic equivalent. Volvo, Mercedes have my thumbs up though for ultimate safety.

No problem at all.. My winter beater is a '97 Camry, it's a great car, but it feels like I am floating whenever driving..

Those Benz in that link are in pretty rough shape..

It doesn't look like it tapped the median from the way the side is bent. And you can see blood on the windshield, I think the passenger was not wearing the seat belt and was launched forward, meaning there was a frontal collision at some point, and he/she probably got a nasty head injury.

Was the car a Chinese made accord...

Quote "Anyone who lives in China knows, not all cars are what it appears to be.

Stolen or illegally imported cars and usually chopped in halves and pass thru custom as salvage parts. Then it's resolder togther and repaint and sold as a complete new/used car. The cut off point is usually right in front of rear bench seats (less work to put it back together).

And from pics, the snap off point totally support this scenario."

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the car.

No frontal collision at all; the front clip ended up a hundred feet~ away from the back clip completely intact.

The source is website hearsay.

I didn't see any news of a public apology. Anyone find a link?
